Mar 7, 2020. Paris A .Recovery from L-glutamate-induced anoxia after a high-dose of systemic administration of 2-amino-3-phosphonopropionate (D,L-AP3) in the toad, Bufo marinus. (1) The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of a systemic dose of D,L-2-amino-3-phosphonopropionate (D,L-AP3) on anoxia tolerance. (2) The time course of recovery from anoxia was followed, after a 10 min exposure to a 6-20 mM solution of L-glutamate, by exposing anesthetized toads to oxygen for 0, 30, 60 or 90 min. The time course of recovery from anoxia during exposure to L-glutamate at 8 and 10 mM, was compared to that after administration of D,L-AP3 (5 mM) following exposure to 8 mM L-glutamate. (3) The time to full recovery (hemostasis) after exposure to D,L-AP3 was compared to that after exposure to L-glutamate. (4) In response to a high dose of D,L-AP3 (5 mM), toads exposed to L-glutamate for 10 min showed no significant increase in the time to full recovery from anoxia, compared to toads exposed to L-glutamate alone. (5) After D,L-AP3 exposure at 8 mM and 10 mM, toads exposed to L-glutamate showed no significant increase in the time to full recovery from anoxia, compared to toads exposed to L-glutamate alone. These results demonstrate that a high dose of D,L-AP3 blocks the excitatory effect of L-glutamate on the hemostasis center and that animals can recover from this block in anoxia tolerance.Q: Why does the center column of my p:dataTable not expand to the size of its contents? Why does the center column of my p:dataTable not expand to the size of its contents? I would expect that the table's center column would grow in size to fill the space occupied by the data in the entire table, but it does not. The table still occupies the full width of its parent element and the center column is one ac619d1d87
